The provider outreach workgroup is chartered with the development of an educational program. The program will include the creation, identification and dissemination of education material relating to the merits of electronic prescribing. Topics of will include solution selection, contracting and implementation.

Provider outreach will be critical to the widespread understanding of the benefits and patient safety aspects of electronic prescribing.

All Florida prescribers have the information and tools necessary to understand and successfully adopt and transition to electronic prescribing. 

Mission
To foster and gain physician implementation and key stakeholder support of electronic prescribing by providing a resource and conduit for solutions and information, through outreach programs, materials, forums, and partnerships..

Next Steps

• Identify from targeted groups existing resources and tools currently available.
• Identify tools which can be utilized and customized by ePrescribe Florida.
• Identify through providers and stakeholders various needs for both products and tools.
• Identify which tools/informational/ educational gaps exist, and develop these based upon need and value.
• Continued refinement of time-line and incorporate the development of tools and provider needs into this.
• Planning of ePrescribe Florida Summit.
