The role of ePrescribe Florida Steering Committee is to provide the senior level direction required to assure that electronic prescribing projects and education programs are coordinated within the state of Florida.

• The Steering Committee provides oversight and governance of all activities related to the ePrescribe Florida working groups, advisory counsel, and general membership participants.
• Steering Committee are voting members.
• Agree to abide by the Operating Principles, Cooperation Agreement and Conflict of Interest.
• Provide resources, funding and time to lead and guide overall efforts.

While part of the Steering Committee, Advisory Council representation is as non-voting members providing a valuable role of insight, guidance and counsel to the ePrescribe Florida Steering Committee and General Membership.

• Participants are nominated by the voting members of the Steering Committee.
• Requirement are minimal including a more limited time and resources requirement while serving in the valuable role as an advisor to the ePrescribe Florida efforts.
• Includes the federal, state governments; health plans; state health plan regulators; mental health associations; hospitals; ambulatory centers;  long-term care facilities;  large academic centers;  medical societies;  nursing organization/home health agencies; independent practitioners; pharmacies, pharmacists, clearinghouses and/or vendors.
• Additional members as approved by the steering committee. 

General Participants are interested parties who are not Steering Committee or Advisory Counsel members.

• Join ePrescribe Florida to participate as working group members or to attend educational and other ePrescribe Florida meetings.
• Participants could be from the federal, state governments; health plans; state health plan regulators; mental health associations; hospitals; ambulatory centers;  long-term care facilities;  large academic centers;  medical societies;  nursing organization/home health agencies; independent practitioners; pharmacies, pharmacists, clearinghouses and/or vendors and patient advocates.
